I rarely blog about copywriting here but today I saw some of my work in Bike magazine‘s The Bible and I think it’s a good example of my style so I thought I’d share. I work part-time as a copywriter and communications specialist with Origin Design + Communications in Whistler and Montreal. This Tourism Whistler advertisement is just some of the type of stuff I do with them. With all the rain we’ve been having and the fact that I have hardly skied this winter, I am dreaming of bikes more than I normally do at this time of year. The copy in the ad is pasted below:

Two wheels and a heartbeat

Bikes are in our blood. For some, mountain biking is a way to recharge. Here it’s also way of life. Over 500 kilometres of singletrack circulate through the Whistler wilderness, putting a massive network of dirt under the wheels of bike lovers. From burly Whistler Mountain Bike Park descents to the challenging climbs of trails like Comfortably Numb, one of IMBA’s highly-acclaimed Epics©. The lifeblood of Whistler is in its dirt. After riding here, it’ll be in you as well.
